Farmers Tour to China
June 2011

The impact that China has had on the world so far this century and what could happen in the future is mind boggling. There are huge problems created by rapid growth with a vast population trying to operate like capitalists under a communist bureaucracy and political system.

The demand for resources seems insatiable. Agricultural production and processing is being modernised. There are still millions of peasants and you will meet some living in primitive conditions. However on this tour you don’t stay in farm houses in China. Apart from one overnight trip on a train you will be staying in very comfortable 4 star hotels.

This is an awesome itinerary at exceptionally good value for this all inclusive tour.

Depart Auckland and fly direct to Beijing. An amazing journey will take you from Beijing to Inner Mongolia and from there to Shaanxi Province followed by Xinjiang Province before travelling to Shanghai. Dairy farms, sheep farms and a range of enterprises feature on the program. See how this economic powerhouse is modernising its agriculture. As well of course, as seeing the great sights such as the Forbidden City, the Great Wall and the Buried Army.

The optional extension takes in a Yangtze Cruise and Guilin. While in China enjoy a couple of shows. The Tang Dynasty show in Xian is excellent. There are just so many fascinating sights and exciting experiences on this tour as you get off the beaten track.
