Managing director, Ron McPhail, has an extensive background in agriculture and management. This experience includes practical farming and 22 years as a farm consultant and manager of a consultancy business for the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry (MAF).
Since 1992 he has managed his own company specialising in agricultural, technical and business tours. Ron is a registered farm management consultant.
Ron has an agricultural science degree from Lincoln University and worked on farms in New Zealand and Australia. After managing consultancy practices in Wairoa and Palmerston North he left MAF in 1992 and with his wife Monyeen established the agricultural tour company. He is responsible for designing tour programmes, guiding tours in New Zealand and leading tours overseas.
Monyeen is a Director of the Company and comes from a family that has had a lot of involvement with the land. Her role as a tour leader takes her to many different destinations around the world.
Jane is office manager, secretary and outbound tour consultant. She liaises with clients to ensure their requirements for hassle free travel are fully catered for.
Kate is responsible for planning and implementing the administrative work involved with inbound tours. She also looks after all the social media, website maintenance and various aspects of our marketing programme.
Either Ron or Monyeen McPhail or both of them lead many of our tours but they can’t do them all. The Company places a great deal of importance on the ability of tour leaders to enhance our clients’ enjoyment of their trip. We have excellent New Zealand based people who lead some of our tours. They have an agricultural background, travel experience and are focused on making sure everyone is looked after.
