For a good number of years Neil & I have been travelling with CR McPhail, on tours that have taken us to many parts of the globe. Being farmers ourselves and leading extremely busy lives we have thoroughly enjoyed joining tours with likeminded people. Seeing cutting edge technology, cultural and scenic hot spots, all this and being truly spoilt at the end of a busy day with fabulous accommodation and meals. Often quaint old towns with plenty of areas for me to explore with my camera.
Our tours have always had a good balance of sightseeing, history and technical component. We have been places we would never get to travelling on our own. There is nothing better than having everything organised for us so we can sit back, relax and enjoy every day’s new experiences. We can’t wait for our next adventure!
Join us for a tour of the “Apple Isle” in the autumn when the days are still warm and the trees are turning. Meet inspiring families pushing the boundaries in a diverse range of innovative agricultural and horticultural enterprises. Enjoy sampling fresh regional produce from the land and from the sea and visit some of the vineyards and distilleries that define the entrepreneurial spirit of Tasmania.
In the north, see Australasia’s largest dairy operation. Down south, wander among the stalls of the makers, growers and producers at the popular Salamanca Market, before experiencing Tasmania’s rich convict heritage at Port Arthur. With traditional livestock operations, plus whisky and wine, berries and bulbs, oysters, trout and salmon, timber and engineering works, this tour offers an interesting and fascinating look at life in Australia’s most southerly state.
