For a good number of years Neil & I have been travelling with CR McPhail, on tours that have taken us to many parts of the globe. Being farmers ourselves and leading extremely busy lives we have thoroughly enjoyed joining tours with likeminded people. Seeing cutting edge technology, cultural and scenic hot spots, all this and being truly spoilt at the end of a busy day with fabulous accommodation and meals. Often quaint old towns with plenty of areas for me to explore with my camera.
Our tours have always had a good balance of sightseeing, history and technical component. We have been places we would never get to travelling on our own. There is nothing better than having everything organised for us so we can sit back, relax and enjoy every day’s new experiences. We can’t wait for our next adventure!
New for 2020 is Turkey, a special place for many New Zealander’s and a fascinating and extraordinary country where East meets West and ancient meets modern.
An important stopover on the Silk Road, Turkey’s history has been touched by the Greeks, Romans, Byzantines and Ottomans and ancient ruins such as Ephesus and Troy are living reminders of the past. Agriculture is still the mainstay of the country and with a diverse landscape and fertile soils, Turkey is one of the world’s few self-sufficient countries.
With delicious Mediterranean cuisine, ancient monuments and the spectacular sights and sounds of Istanbul, this tour is a winner, but with the added bonus of the emotional Dawn Service at Anzac Cove in Gallipoli, this tour is a must!
