“Just back from the Top End and Kimberley Cattle Tour. What an amazing eye opening tour with huge wide open spaces, very large (up to 2million ha) cattle stations many thousands of cattle and very genuine people we met on this trip. If I was in my 20s I would be over there like a shot gaining the experience of living and working in this area. A tour we would recommend for anyone wanting to see one of the last outposts in Australia. There is so much to rave on about but not enough space!!”
The state of Victoria is Australia’s second smallest state but certainly packs a punch in terms of agricultural diversity, stunning scenery and natural attractions.
New for 2020, this tour commences in Melbourne, a European style city built from the proceeds of the famous goldrushes of the 1850s. The itinerary takes you to the lush dairying country in Gippsland, east of Melbourne, the spectacular High Country and then through Ned Kelly country to the historic port of Echuca on the Murray River.
Travelling southwards through the gold-mining towns of Bendigo and Ballarat, you’ll see productive cropping country and sheep farms and further south you’ll see spectacular coastal scenery along the Great Ocean Road and Shipwreck Coast. The tour concludes in Melbourne, in time for all highlights of the Lexus Melbourne Cup Day – the race that stops a nation!
