For a good number of years Neil & I have been travelling with CR McPhail, on tours that have taken us to many parts of the globe. Being farmers ourselves and leading extremely busy lives we have thoroughly enjoyed joining tours with likeminded people. Seeing cutting edge technology, cultural and scenic hot spots, all this and being truly spoilt at the end of a busy day with fabulous accommodation and meals. Often quaint old towns with plenty of areas for me to explore with my camera.
Our tours have always had a good balance of sightseeing, history and technical component. We have been places we would never get to travelling on our own. There is nothing better than having everything organised for us so we can sit back, relax and enjoy every day’s new experiences. We can’t wait for our next adventure!
The state of Victoria is Australia’s second smallest state but certainly packs a punch in terms of agricultural diversity, stunning scenery and natural attractions.
New for 2020, this tour commences in Melbourne, a European style city built from the proceeds of the famous goldrushes of the 1850s. The itinerary takes you to the lush dairying country in Gippsland, east of Melbourne, the spectacular High Country and then through Ned Kelly country to the historic port of Echuca on the Murray River.
Travelling southwards through the gold-mining towns of Bendigo and Ballarat, you’ll see productive cropping country and sheep farms and further south you’ll see spectacular coastal scenery along the Great Ocean Road and Shipwreck Coast. The tour concludes in Melbourne, in time for all highlights of the Melbourne Cup – the race that stops a nation!
